Matchiv Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 2, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Matchiv, including the Matchiv website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

The Service is operated by Matchiv LLC, located at 1550 11th St NW, Unit 303, Washington, DC 20001 (“Matchiv,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Matchiv.

By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

If you use Matchiv on behalf of an organization, club, league, association, or other entity (“Organization”), you represent that you have authority to act on behalf of that Organization and bind it to these Terms where applicable.

2. About Matchiv

Matchiv provides software for managing sports organizations and competitions. Depending on the features selected by an Organization, the Service may include player management, league registration, scheduling, team management, standings, ratings, tournaments, events, communications, payments, and other competition-management tools.

Matchiv provides the technology used by Organizations to administer these activities. Except where expressly stated otherwise, Matchiv is not the organizer, operator, sponsor, facility provider, referee, coach, or supervisor of the sporting activities administered through the Service.

Organizations remain responsible for their own competitions, policies, participants, schedules, eligibility requirements, venues, fees, refunds, cancellations, and administration.

3. Accounts

You may be required to create an account to use certain features of Matchiv.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information reasonably current. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity occurring through your account.

You may not impersonate another person, create accounts using false information, access another person's account without authorization, or otherwise misuse the Service.

Matchiv may suspend or restrict an account when reasonably necessary to address security concerns, suspected fraud, unlawful activity, nonpayment, abuse, or violations of these Terms.

4. Organizations and Administrators

Organizations may appoint administrators, coordinators, or other authorized users to manage information and activities within their Matchiv organization.

Organization administrators may have the ability to manage player profiles, leagues, teams, registrations, schedules, competition results, ratings, communications, and other Organization information.

Organizations are responsible for determining who receives administrative privileges and for the actions of their authorized administrators.

Matchiv does not control an Organization's internal rules, player eligibility decisions, team selections, competition formats, disciplinary decisions, or similar administrative decisions.

5. Player Information and Ratings

Matchiv may provide ratings, rankings, standings, statistics, or similar competitive information based on information stored within the Service.

Matchiv ratings and similar calculations are tools intended to assist Organizations with competition administration. They are not guarantees or definitive assessments of a player's skill or competitive ability.

Organizations may establish their own eligibility requirements, divisions, rating rules, or competition policies and may make administrative decisions that differ from a Matchiv-generated rating or recommendation.

Organizations may also be permitted to determine whether results from particular leagues, tournaments, or other competitions affect Matchiv ratings. Competition results that an Organization designates as non-rating events will not be intended to affect those ratings.

6. Registrations and Organization Fees

Organizations may use Matchiv to offer registration for leagues, tournaments, events, memberships, or other activities.

When you register for an activity offered by an Organization, the underlying activity is provided and administered by that Organization, not Matchiv LLC.

Organizations are responsible for establishing their own:

• registration prices and deadlines;
• cancellation and refund policies;
• eligibility requirements;
• competition rules;
• event schedules; and
• other participation terms.

Questions or disputes concerning participation, cancellation, eligibility, or refunds for an Organization's activity should generally be directed to that Organization.

7. Payment Processing

Certain payments may be processed through third-party payment processors such as Stripe.

Matchiv does not directly store complete payment card information when payments are processed through a third-party payment processor. Payment transactions may be subject to additional terms and policies imposed by the applicable payment provider.

Where Matchiv facilitates payments on behalf of an Organization, Matchiv provides the technology supporting the transaction but does not assume responsibility for the Organization's underlying obligations to participants.

8. Matchiv Subscriptions

Organizations may purchase paid Matchiv subscription plans.

Subscription pricing, included capacity, billing frequency, and other applicable terms will be displayed when the Organization selects or manages its subscription.

Unless otherwise stated, paid subscriptions automatically renew for the applicable billing period until canceled.

Subscription charges are non-refundable once charged, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

Cancellation prevents future renewal but does not ordinarily result in a prorated refund or credit for the remaining portion of a paid subscription period. The Organization may continue to have access through the end of the applicable paid period, subject to these Terms.

Matchiv may change its subscription plans or pricing from time to time. Pricing changes applicable to an existing subscription will be communicated before they take effect where required.

9. Free Trials

Matchiv may provide eligible Organizations with a 30-day free trial.

Trial eligibility, availability, duration, features, and limitations may be modified or discontinued by Matchiv. Continued access to paid features following expiration of a trial may require the Organization to purchase a subscription.

Creating multiple accounts or Organizations for the purpose of improperly obtaining repeated free trials is prohibited.

10. User and Organization Content

Users and Organizations may provide information or content through Matchiv, including player information, photographs, competition information, spreadsheets, schedules, results, and other materials (“User Content”).

You retain any ownership rights you have in your User Content.

By providing User Content to Matchiv, you grant Matchiv a limited, non-exclusive right to host, store, process, reproduce, display, and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service.

You represent that you have the necessary rights or authorization to provide information you upload to Matchiv.

Organizations that upload information concerning their players or members are responsible for having an appropriate basis to collect and use that information.

11. Acceptable Use

You may not use Matchiv to violate applicable law or the rights of another person.

You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to Matchiv systems or accounts, interfere with the operation or security of the Service, introduce malicious software, scrape or extract Service data through unauthorized automated means, circumvent access restrictions, use the Service to harass or harm others, or use Matchiv for fraudulent or deceptive purposes.

Matchiv may investigate suspected misuse and take reasonable measures to protect the Service and its users.

12. Communications and Notifications

Matchiv and Organizations using Matchiv may send transactional communications related to use of the Service, including registration confirmations, schedule information, competition reminders, cancellations, account notices, and other operational communications.

Depending on your device and settings, these communications may be delivered by email, in-app messaging, or push notification.

Push notifications may generally be controlled through your device settings.

13. Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their Matchiv account through the account deletion functionality provided within the Service.

Deletion may be subject to limited retention where information must reasonably be retained for legal, security, financial, fraud-prevention, or legitimate recordkeeping purposes, or where certain competition records need to remain associated with an Organization's historical records.

14. Third-Party Services

Matchiv relies on third-party providers to deliver portions of the Service, which may include payment processing, hosting, authentication, email delivery, push notifications, analytics, and mobile application infrastructure.

Your use of certain third-party functionality may also be subject to the provider's own terms or policies.

Matchiv is not responsible for outages, acts, or omissions of independent third-party services outside Matchiv's reasonable control.

15. Sporting Activities and Assumption of Risk

Participation in sports and athletic activities involves inherent risks, including the possibility of injury.

Matchiv provides software used to administer sporting activities but does not supervise participants, inspect venues, provide medical advice, determine whether a participant is physically capable of participating, or guarantee the safety of any competition, facility, Organization, or participant.

Users are responsible for determining whether participation in an activity is appropriate for them and for complying with applicable Organization and facility rules.

To the extent permitted by law, Matchiv is not responsible for injuries, accidents, property damage, or other losses arising from participation in sporting activities merely because those activities were scheduled, registered, communicated, or administered using Matchiv.

16. Service Availability

We work to provide a reliable Service, but Matchiv does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, technical failures, third-party service interruptions, security incidents, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may modify, add, remove, or discontinue features as the Service evolves.

17. Intellectual Property

Matchiv and its associated software, designs, interfaces, branding, logos, and other proprietary materials are owned by Matchiv LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purposes. They do not transfer ownership of Matchiv technology or intellectual property to you.

Organization names, logos, photographs, and other content provided by Organizations remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.

18. Suspension and Termination

Matchiv may suspend or terminate access to the Service where reasonably necessary because of:

• violation of these Terms;
• nonpayment;
• fraudulent or unlawful activity;
• abuse of the Service;
• security risks;
• attempts to interfere with Matchiv systems; or
• circumstances where continued access could harm Matchiv, its users, or third parties.

Where reasonably practical, Matchiv may provide notice or an opportunity to address the issue before termination, but immediate action may be taken when necessary for security, legal, or safety reasons.

19. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Matchiv is provided “as is” and “as available.”

Matchiv makes no guarantee that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or suitable for every Organization's particular requirements.

Matchiv does not guarantee the accuracy of information entered by users or Organizations or the outcome of sporting competitions, ratings, rankings, schedules, or administrative decisions made using the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Matchiv LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or relating to the Service, including lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, or interruption of activities.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Matchiv's aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount paid to Matchiv by the person or Organization asserting the claim during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) $100.

These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

21. Indemnification by Organizations

To the extent permitted by law, an Organization agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Matchiv LLC from third-party claims arising from the Organization's own competitions, policies, content, administrative decisions, violations of law, or misuse of the Service, except to the extent the claim results from Matchiv's own wrongful conduct.

This includes claims arising from an Organization's handling of participant eligibility, competition administration, refunds, cancellations, or information uploaded to Matchiv.

22. Privacy

Your use of Matchiv is also subject to the Matchiv Privacy Policy, which explains how Matchiv collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Matchiv evolves or as legal or operational requirements change.

If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service, by email, or through another reasonable method. The updated Terms will identify their effective date.

Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.

24. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Subject to applicable law, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in an appropriate state or federal court located in the District of Columbia, and the parties consent to jurisdiction and venue in those courts.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from pursuing remedies that cannot lawfully be restricted by these Terms.

25. General Terms

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Matchiv's failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive its right to enforce that provision later.

You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without Matchiv's consent. Matchiv may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms expressly presented for a particular Matchiv service, constitute the agreement between you and Matchiv concerning use of the Service.
